FAQs

Cancellation Policy

48-Hour Cancellation Policy

I understand things can happen and you may need to cancel or reschedule. I do need as much notice as possible so I can accomodate to other clients who may be waiting for appointment times.

As appointments are paid for in full when booking with me, if you give me 2 days notice upon cancelling I can provide you with half your money back. If you don’t show up without any notice unfortunately you will not receive a refund.

What happens before our first session?

You will be sent some forms to fill out such as the counselling agreement, privacy policy, cancellation policy, Telehealth consent form and a welcome letter. I know it sounds like a lot but it covers the administrative aspects of our professional relationship

What can I expect from our first session?

The first session together will be about getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to counselling. We will also identify what you would like to work on together.

Are your sessions online only?

Sessions are currently online only. I find it helps being in your own sensory space which can make it easier to feel clam, grounded, and regulated. No need to navigate travel, traffic, or logistics as I know that can put extra pressure being a neurodivergent Mum.

It also helps to be able to join sessions online, in the car after school drop off as I have done this many times before :)

I struggle with time and remembering appointments. Can you help?

Yes, I send reminder emails or text messages which ever you prefer. I know from experience it can be hard making a phone call so texting is totally fine.

Do I need to have a diagnosis to see you?

Not at all. Many clients come while they are exploring their identity or traits. I meet with you where you’re at, diagnosed or self-diagnosed

What about Medicare?

Unfortunately Counselling is not covered by Medicare
