Hi, I’m Kristin, a counsellor and ADHD Mum to two neurodivergent children. My personal and professional journey gives me a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with neurodiversity.
My own journey with ADHD has shaped who I am today. I lived most of my life undiagnosed, receiving a formal diagnosis at 29 after a period of intense burnout. In 2020, while studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Certificate IV in Mental Health — and homeschooling my children — I thrived in the chaos, until burnout hit hard. That experience, and my diagnosis, gave me the insight and drive to better understand the unique ways ADHD can impact life.
With my love for fast-paced, unpredictable environments, I found my place working in Community Services. I’ve worked in high-risk areas such as family violence, homelessness, and social housing, often being told I was the calmest person in the room when things got tough. Living with ADHD has given me a unique resilience and ability to navigate crisis with a clear head and an open heart.
Now, I combine my lived experience and professional training to offer counselling that is compassionate, understanding, and neurodiversity-affirming.
